About awarded research(activity)
Presentation Title: Mechanism of ferromagnetism enhancement in a La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 membrane free from epitaxial strain: In this study, we elucidated the mechanism of ferromagnetism enhancement in an La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 (LSMO) membrane free from epitaxial strain compared to an LSMO film on a substrate (as-grown film). We have conducted resonant photoemission spectroscopy measurements on the LSMO as-grown film and the LSMO membrane. Our findings revealed that the itinerancy of the Mn 3d electrons responsible for the ferromagnetism of LSMO is enhanced by epitaxial lift-off and that the ferromagnetism enhancement is caused by the double-exchange interaction via more itinerant Mn 3d electrons in the LSMO membrane than in the LSMO as-grown film.
