Name of award and short explanation about the award

Name:the Best Poster Award Description:This award is given to two outstanding presentations from each poster session, as evaluated by participant votes at the 2024 Picture Coding Symposium in Japan and the 2024 Image Media Processing Symposium (PCSJ/IMPS 2024).

About awarded research(activity)

Ryoma Kanai, Yuta Kibayashi, Yasunori Akashi, Changyo Han, Takeshi Naemura: “Extending Luminance Range and Maintaining Decoding Rate for Imperceptible Markers by Quadrature Color Vibration” Description:In a quadrature color vibration method, which is a technique for invisible display-camera communication, we proposed an alternative approach to the conventional color gamut compression linear processing used for modulation. This new method expands the range of displayable luminance while maintaining the decoding rate, thereby reducing image quality degradation.
